A new day and another year older. Wiser? Possibly.

Status report: Single, 25 years old, BMI=23.8, but pretty happy.

In a week and one day we're leaving for Puerto Rico. Two weeks of heat, mosquitos and box jellies and while some might find this a rather depressing description, I don't. I'm just trying not to expect too much. But I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience both personally and 'professionally'.

Meanwhile, I'm busy, busy, busy. Reports to write, meetings to go to. In fact, all day today (my birthday) will be spent in different meetings, starting at lunch and finishing around 7pm maybe. Stressed but not depressed, would be a good description, I suppose.

When I return from my Caribbean adventure it's time to move and become a full time 'Copenhagian'. To quote Mr Burns: "Excellent"

Easter came and went. Had some good times, but have become very tired in the last few weeks, which worries me a little. Otherwise everything is going great. Have an exam tomorrow, but I am pretty sure that I'll do okey.

So, Charlaya, you wanted to hear more about the romance? Well, it's going very well. Spent Sunday-Monday together both this and last week. He spoils me rotten, cooking delicious dinners and taking me out to restaurants. During the weeks, however, I have to get by on "just" emails, but he's pretty good at that too. Things so far are going great. We get along marvelously and everything feels comfortable (but in no way boring). I'm still not sure how "far" this will go. I mean, I don't think I'm "in love" - don't feel those butterflies in the stomach - but as of yet I haven't found anything that would break us up.

Now I have to get ready and get over to the International Desk to drop off my application for this fall. Hope to be going to the University of Copenhagen for one semester.

Although I'm anxiously awaiting his next email at the moment, things have actually been moving on quite nicely. We've started emailing almost daily and it seems we're both willing to make an effort to be able to see each other, even on weekends where we've already got things planned. He also opened up for some deeper conversations about our relationship. It made me really happy. Partly because I was actually planning to do the same, but he beat me to it (great minds think alike). But also because it sort of felt like it took us one step further. Right now, I just have to hold on to that positive feeling, to prevent me from obsessing too much over the fact that I wrote him yesterday, before lunch, and he still hasn't returned my email!

Yesterday I read a few of my entries from two years ago, when I started this blog. I was taking the same course as I am now (reregistered because I really had no energy to focus on studying last time) and was very, very frustrated with my situation in life. I am so greatful that I'm not in that same place this time around.

But I still have to work hard and study and stay disciplined.

Was at the gym today when something depressing happened. I was feeling strong and motivated for the first half of the work out, but then suddenly it was like all my motivation and all the energy was drained from my body and I was unable to go on. Gave upp and went home, very disappointed with myself. I don't know why or what happened. Maybe I waited to long between sets, maybe it was the fact that I started thinking about a friend, who's been having some problems that he doesn't want to talk about, maybe I was simply hungry (started the work out just after noon, without having eaten lunch), maybe I'm not completely cured from the cold I've been fighting off the last couple of weeks. Whatever the reason, the feeling of helplessness was overwhelming. I'm usually stubborn enough to keep on going through hunger and fatigue once I've made up my mind.

It was actually a little comforting that when I got home I actually felt a little dizzy and very hungry. Made me think it might just be some temporary weakness caused by hunger. (Eventhough, I did have a big breakfast and a banana for a snack, and I usually make it through on less.)

Oh well. Tomorrow is a new day.

Saturday is here again. Unfortunatley it's not the wonderful, sunny morning I was hoping for. Rather, fog is creeping around between the houses and the sky is looking quite grey and uninspiring. But to be honest, I don't mind that much. I have a good day planned, with first some aerobics and then an afternoon/evening in Malmö with B, followed by a trip to Copenhagen and his apartment. I think it will be alright, despite the dreary weather. :)

B is my former teacher, who I happened to run into at the Da Vinci airport on 1 November, on my way home from Florence. He suggested that we shoud meet for coffee some time. We did and then things just went from there. It feels a little strange, because I never figured I'd be the kind that dated a teacher (if there is any particular "kind" of people, that do that). But I'm actually really starting to like it. I've been trying to hold back a little and I guess I'm still not a hundred percent sure that this is "right". But it's getting closer and either way, it doesn't really matter at the moment. I like him and he likes me and I guess that's all that we need to know. Thinking too much about "how much" we might like each other and where this is supposed to go will just drive me crazy and can lead to no good. Not right now, anyway.

I went to see the student counselor yesterday. We talked about what courses I should take next semester (my last befor the final project that will bring me the title of MSc) and I mentioned that I've actually started thinking about continuing down the research-path. Got some good advice about choosing who to work with and where, and was feeling really inspired when I left her office. I think things will work out just fine in the end.

Changed the template.

Not really "feeling" it, but it will have to do for now. Don't have time to put too much energy into finding "the perfect template" right now. Should be studying and have already been wasting enough time as it is.

To add to the stress I have a lot to update here. So much has happened and so many thoughts are going through my mind. And, well, I haven't posted in a "while".

Hoping I'm on my way to finding love. Starting to feel really excited about my studies and am actually contemplating going for a doctor's degree.

Will elaborate more some other time.
For now I'll just say that things are looking good (knock on wood).
